Training Requirement
REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours & 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
- All REALTORS® must complete REALTOR® Code of Ethics (COE) training every three years to maintain their REALTOR® membership.
- The current three year period ends December 31, 2024.
- New REALTORS® must complete the training within one year of membership.
Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.
Before You Take the Training:
- View training resources for new members or for existing members
- Learn what login information you’ll need, the best browsers to use, what to expect once you complete the course, and other tips for taking the course
- Check if you have completed the course by clicking the “View My Education Records” link on this page.
- Cycle 7: 1/1/2022 – 12/31/2024
If COE says, “NOT MET,” this means you need to take your COE sometime before 12/31/2024. - COE is every 3 years based off the calendar year, NOT your license renewal OR when you took it last.
